Die DECHEMA e.V. ist das kompetente Netzwerk für chemische Technik und Biotechnologie in Deutschland. Sie vertritt als gemeinnützige Fachgesellschaft diese Gebiete in Wissenschaft, Wirtschaft, Politik und Gesellschaft. Sie fördert den technischen und wissenschaftlichen Austausch von Fachleuten unter-schiedlicher Disziplinen, Organisationen und Generationen und bündelt das Know-How von über 5.800 Einzel- und Fördermitgliedern.
DECHEMA e.V. is a non-profit society for chemical engineering and
biotechnology with more than 5600 members. Since 2018 we are hosting the
Innovation Hub of the International Sustainable Chemistry Collaborative
Centre (ISC3). In this capacity we have established a Global Start-up
Service (GSS) to support start-ups in the field of "sustainable chemistry"
on a global level. Our services encompass events for start-ups, matchmaking
with investors and partners or customers, workshops on relevant topics for
chemistry entrepreneurs and individual support measures.
The intern will
support our various activities including start-up relations, communication with start-ups,
event organization, and creation of compelling targeted content such as presentations, communication materials, articles, investor booklets and press releases.
The ideal candidate will have a strong interest in and enthusiasm for start-ups and innovation ecosystems, strong communication and organization skills, and the ability to work as part of a small team on the ground, independently, and in collaboration with global partners.

Your tasks:
- Support the evaluation and development of the ISC3 start-up pool
- Managing of our start-up database
- Managing databases
- Research on international actors, topics and examples in the field of chemistry, sustainability and innovation
- Support the preparation of presentations, lectures and communication materials
- Support in the preparation and organization of our next Investor Forum, workshops and other events
- Review and compilation of start-up profiles into an investor bookletn public and start-up relations
- Support in public and start-up relations
Your profile:
- Student in the field of science, engineering, economics with a strong interest in science or comparable degree program
- Initial knowledge and interest in the topics Sustainable, Green Chemistry and Circular Economy
- Intercultural mindset and interest in interdisciplinary work
- Very good knowledge of written and spoken English (working language of the ISC3) and German Language at least B2
- Good MS Office knowledge
- Creativity and enjoyment of high-tech, industrial topics, chemistry and life-sciences
